  1. All the patterns in this folder were supplied by Dean Hickerson.
  2. The folder "RLE patterns" contains patterns in run length encoded format.
  3. These are all TEXT files with header information describing each pattern.
  4. LifeLab ignores the header lines when reading such files.

  6. Attributions have been given where known.  Some file names end with the
  7. discoverer's initials:
